10 Steps coloring a crystal Diya

Excited to color this adorable diya. It’s time to unleash your inner artist with this simple yet appealing lamp/ diya design made into a coloring page.

So, what are you waiting for, get your favorite brush pens or any media you like and start coloring as I disclose in a step wise manner. Ohh! I forgot to mention, you will need a coloring page printed or the coloring outline drawn on a paper.

I suppose you are now ready with all the material listed. Lets get started,,,,

Its a crystal diya; of all color combinations, shades of blue were first that hit my mind. I have selected some beautiful blue shade to complete this diya coloring page, you may try to create something completely different and delightful in the same design.

Step 1

Start with a simple and large shape, as in drawing no 1, keep in mind its a large shape, so choose the best or brightest of the shades you have selected. Fill in the shape and continue to Step 2.

Step 2

In step 2 we will color some shapes immediate or adjacent to the first one. Choose some dark shade to create adequate contrast.

Step 3

Get some more darker shades and fill the shapes as shown in Step 3.

Step 4

Lets get the experimental mode on, choose some distinct and quirky shades, fill in your imagination in the next shapes as I did in step 4.�

Step 5

Continue same plan in step 5.

Step 6

Next shapes are small and fine, choose the shades, may be lighter ones, as the center part of the lamp when its lit, will appear lighter and shinier so color them suitably.

Step 7

Base part of the lamp has minute shapes, coloring these is fun, at the same time the shades chosen should be darker to replicate the shadows under the body of the lamp.

Step 8

Exciited for the next step, the flame, start with brown and orange and add some yellow on the surface.

Step 9

Blend them well then add some more bright yellow to make the flame shine bright. Lamp is ready. Make some quirky background to pop your diya/ lamp design. I added just a black color, see in step 10, first image of the post.
