While you are planning to improve your drawing skills, let Picpari come to your aid with an offering. Picpari introduces the ‘Trace-Draw and Color Minibooks’. First offering of this collection is the Practise Drawing and Coloring- Leaves Minibook by Picpari.

MINIBOOK COLLECTION

The minibook collection has small books with upto 10 drawing/ coloring pages. These pages will feature titular shape, for instance, the first book on leaves as described in this post has simple leaf shapes. As you gradually move from the first page ahead the leaf inspired designs become more and more fine and difficult.

PAGE 1

The pages are arranged in such a way that the first page is the most easy, one simple leaf shape, large sized on an entire page. The outline of this shape is thick but light in shade, so that the shade guides you in tracing the leaf shape, at the same time the thick outline helps you to stay well within the shape boundaries while drawing it.

PAGE 2

The second page of the minibook features two leaves. While you have already learnt how to draw a single leaf, on this page you will learn how to draw two overlapping leaves. While coloring, imagine that the overlapping leaf will cast shadows on the under-placed leaf. Assess the position of leaves well and place shadows accordingly to give your drawing a life-like effect.

PAGE 3

The third page of this minibook has a progressively difficult drawing with a bunch of leaves. Again the overlapping can be understood and drawn effectively with many leaves at the same place, additionally the shadow formation becomes increasingly complex, understood well, and executed while coloring and completing this beautiful bunch with its stem.

YOUR PRACTISE IS OUR PRIORITY

After acquiring this PDF book, you may print it number of times without any additional cost, and repeat pages where you need more practise.

PAGE 4

Now that you have learnt drawing and coloring basic leaf shapes and formations, lets get it more artistic. The fourth page follows and it features a leaf vine, a curvy stem with alternately placed leaves on both sides. The size is still quite large, or say intermediate between the starting pages and the fine pages ahead, a six leaf vine on a single page.Â

Drawing and coloring this simple vine will make you ready to make and complete the fine drawings on the coming pages.

PAGE 5

On fifth page of this minibook, you see a fine, leaf vine page border on one corner of the page. Study the overlapping, draw the shapes well, and finally take care of the shadows while coloring, and you have a beautiful page border ready for your next project.Â

PAGE 6

Page six is a finer continuation of the earlier page, with the leaf vine border getting finer in size as well as acquiring two corners of the page. Points to remember while drawing and coloring are the same. This page will not only give you a beautifully artistic leaf page border but will also unfortunately end the book here!!
